Device History
Every change made to a device — who assigned it, when its status flipped, what was added to a comment, what an audit verified — is recorded as a history event. The log is per-device, immutable, and chronological, which makes it the right place to answer questions like "when did this laptop go to John?" or "why is this monitor marked as damaged?"
Audit
An audit is a structured pass over your inventory that confirms what TheStorage thinks you own matches what's actually on desks, in stockrooms, and in pockets. Employees verify the devices assigned to them; administrators verify the rest. The result is an accurate ground-truth snapshot, an audit trail in the device history, and a short list of devices that need follow-up.
Campaigns
A campaign is an internal sale of used devices to your own employees, with proceeds donated to a cause your organisation supports. It's the cleanest path for retiring laptops and monitors that still have life left in them — better than recycling, simpler than a public auction, and good for staff morale into the bargain.
Software
The Software page is where SaaS subscriptions, perpetual licences, and seat-based products live alongside the laptops and monitors. Treating software as inventory makes it possible to spot under-utilised subscriptions, plan renewals, and avoid the classic "we have 30 seats but only 12 people use it" surprise at the next true-up.
