Users

The Users page is the roster of everyone in your tenant — synced from your connected identity provider (Microsoft Entra ID or Google Workspace) so you never type a name twice. Once people are here, you can assign devices to them by name and let them participate in audits.

Page Layout

  • Header — Shows the company name, the number of domain users, and the last synchronization date.
  • Sync Users button — In the top-right corner, triggers a manual sync with your identity provider.
  • User tiles — Each tile shows the employee's avatar, full name, job title, email, and office location.

User Card

Each user is displayed as a card showing:

  • Profile photo — Synced from your identity provider. A default avatar is shown if no photo is available.
  • Full name — The employee's name in the configured format.
  • Job title — Role or position synced from the directory.
  • Email — Corporate email address.
  • Office location — Physical location or department if provided by the directory.

Sync users

TheStorage refreshes the user list every day at 08:00 CET automatically. To pull changes through immediately — for example, after a batch of new hires — click Sync Users in the top-right corner. The sync runs at roughly 1,000 users per minute, and the page header updates with the new timestamp when it finishes.

Identity provider required

User sync needs an active connection to Microsoft Entra ID or Google Workspace. Configure one under Settings → Directory Providers.

Search for a User

Use the global search bar at the top of the page to locate a user by name, email, or job title.
