Create a New Place

Places are the physical anchors for your inventory — meeting rooms, warehouses, kitchens, cabinets, boxes. Once a place exists, you can assign devices to it instead of (or in addition to) a person, which is the right pattern for shared kit and stockroom inventory.

Steps

  1. Click Places in the sidebar.

  2. Click + Add Place in the top-right corner.

  3. Fill in the form:

    LocationNoFree text — typically the building or floor (e.g. HQ, 3rd floor). 2–30 characters.
    TypeYesPick from: meeting room, open space, hall, kitchen, playroom, warehouse, cabinet, box. Drives the tile icon.
  4. Click Save. The new place tile appears in the list with the matching icon, the location you entered, and a device count of zero.
