Create a New Tag

Tags are color-coded labels that help you slice and filter your inventory — think Loaner, Spare, Development, R&D, Executive, or Damaged. Unlike the comment field, tags drive the Tags filter chip on the Devices page and appear in the Dashboard's Tags summary.

Each subscription tier has a tag limit:

• Free — up to 4 tags
• Professional — up to 25 tags
• Enterprise — unlimited

When you hit the limit, the + Create Tag button becomes disabled and a Limit reached banner appears above the list.

How to create a tag

1. Click Tags in the sidebar.

2. Click the + Create Tag button in the top-right corner.

3. Fill in the New Tag editor:

   

   Field	Required	Notes
   Tag name	Yes	1–20 characters. Must be unique within the tenant. Hint text suggests names like Damaged, Loaner, or Testing Machine.
   Color	Yes	Pick from the predefined palette — see below.

4. Click Save.

Tags come with a fixed palette so all tags are instantly recognizable across the app:

• Red
• Green
• Blue
• Orange
• Yellow
• Lime
• Teal
• Purple
• Pink
• Indigo
• Grey
• Black

The color dot appears on every device tile, in the list view, in the filter chip, and on the Tags page.

What to do next

• Assign or remove a tag from devices — one device can carry multiple tags.
• Delete a tag you no longer use.
• Filter the Devices page by tag using the Tags filter chip.
