Edit a Device
Most device fields can be edited directly from the information panel that opens when you click a device in the list.
Inline editing
- Navigate to Devices and select the device you want to edit.
- The right-side information panel opens with all editable fields.
- Click any field (Status, Assignment, Category, Invoice data, Warranty, Price, Comment, etc.) to edit it inline.
- Changes are auto-saved when you click elsewhere — no explicit Save button required.

Full-form edit
For larger changes (uploading an invoice, adding a product image, editing multiple fields at once), open the full form:
- Select the device in the list.
- Click the pencil / edit icon next to the device name in the information panel.
- The Edit Device dialog opens with the same layout as Add Device.
- Modify any field and click Save Device to apply.

If two administrators edit the same device simultaneously, the second person to click Save receives a Modified by someone else warning and is asked to reload. This prevents silent data loss from concurrent writes.
What changes are logged?
Every field change is recorded in the device history. Open the History action from the top action bar of the information panel to review who changed what and when.
